Intitulada "Das Arábias", a série contou com 10 episódios dissecando as seleções de cada grupo e comentando momentos que ficarão marcados na história do futebol.
I was invited by the 4dois3um podcast team to illustrate the cover of the special series about the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Entitled "Das Arábias", the series had 10 episodes dissecting the teams from each group and commenting on moments that will be marked in the history of football.
A ideia da ilustração era representar o lado mais identitário e cultural do futebol dentro da nossa sociedade. E nada melhor que uma mesa de bar com os amigos para enaltecer esse lado. Os pôsteres com os elencos campeões de times inesquecíveis do nosso imaginário, as bandeiras, fitinhas coloridas sobre o balcão, a cerveja gelada e os comentários ácidos cornetando o treinador... enfim, essa é a verdadeira energia que move o futebol e nos faz apaixonados.
The idea of the illustration was to represent the more identity and cultural side of football within our society. And nothing better than a bar table with friends to enhance this side. The posters with the champion squads of unforgettable teams from our imagination, the flags, colorful ribbons on the counter, the cold beer and the acidic comments against the coach... this is the true energy that moves football and makes us passionate.
O lettering foi criado com base em escritas bem populares, misturando letras maiúsculas e minúsculas para dar um ar ainda mais pessoal. As cinco estrelas que criam a base do lettering representam o pentacampeonato da seleção brasileira de futebol, já a sexta estrela é vazada, representando a expectativa pelo hexa.
The lettering was created based on very popular scripts, mixing uppercase and lowercase letters to give it an even more personal look. The five stars that create the basis of the lettering represent the fifth championship of the Brazilian football team, while the sixth star is hollow, representing the expectation for the sixth championship.
